Tracey has owned and operated Silhouette Dance Company (formerly Silhouette School of Dance),  since being established in 1987. She is a qualified and registered teacher with the Australian Teachers of Dancing (ATOD). Tracey has had over 30 years experience in dance teaching and has studied Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap & Gymnastics from an early age. Whilst working for the Police Citizens Youth Welfare Association she was also involved in coaching Women’s Gymnastics for many years.

Since the establishment of Silhouette Dance Company Tracey has successfully trained students for examinations in Classical Ballet, Jazz & Tap from Tiny Tots to Majors. Perhaps one of her most noteworthy achievements is the number of talented and successful Dance Teachers and Studio owners Tracey has trained over the years. Tracey’s professional experience and encouraging training has fostered many careers.

As a member of the Australian Teachers of Dancing, Tracey is a Director on the Board and currently holds the position of Company Secretary (since 2001). Tracey is also a Director on the Board of ATOD International Pty Ltd. These positions often involve Tracey travelling Australia wide and abroad.

Tracey’s second love is travelling and since 2000 has organized dance tours to Hong Kong (2000 & 2006), New Zealand (2004), USA – Los Angeles (2008), Hawaii (2013), Orlando (2015).

Tracey is dedicated to her profession as a dance teacher and believes that a friendly learning environment will assist students to achieve to the best of their ability.

Bonnie Muir (Director/Co-Principal)

Bonnie commenced dancing at Silhouette at the age of five, has been employed with Silhouette as a teacher since 2000 and is now a full partner in the studio. Bonnie has completed all examinations in ATOD through to her Advanced Certificate in Jazz and Tap and Intermediate Classical Ballet and Hip Hop (Level 11). She has also gained her Grade 6 Jazz Award in CSTD. During Bonnie’s performing years she successfully auditioned for many performance groups (including the position of Soloist in 2000 Queensland team performance in Hong Kong), she worked professionally in various Brisbane night clubs and is a past winner of the ATOD State scholarship in both Jazz & Tap. Bonnie has achieved her ATOD Licentiate Teaching Diploma, which enabled her to be offered a position as a Trainee Examiner with the Australian Teachers of Dancing. Bonnie was appointed an Examiner of ATOD in 2016.

Bonnie was a Director of the Australian Teachers of Dancing Ltd for 10+ years. Bonnie was an integral part of the ATOD Hip Hop and updated Jazz Syllabus develpment.

Bonnie has taught Dance and Cheer at various High Schools and Primary Schools throughout Brisbane and has taught at Summer Schools in Australia and Singapore. Bonnie is regularly invited to teach ATOD syllabi at teacher workshops both in Australia and overseas (UK, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore)

Bonnie has an enormous amount of dedication and is passionate about ensuring that every child is given the opportunity to achieve their very best.

Nicky Mitchell (Senior Teacher)

Nicky has been a dedicated dancer since the age of 3 years and has danced with Silhouette since the beginning. As a young student she has performed with the Belder Ballet and was a member of the ATOD representative team that performed in Hong Kong in both 2000 and 2006.

Nicky has completed her ATOD Advanced Jazz & Tap Certificates, Elementary Ballet and has gained the CSTD Grade 6 Jazz Award. She is an Associate Teacher with the Australian Teachers of Dancing and also has a Certificate IV in Dance Teaching and Management. Nicky holds a Bachelor of Education (Primary) and a Bachelor of Human Services in Child and Family Studies. She has a Cert IV in Training and Assessment & First Aid Certificate.

Nicky also works part-time teaching at a local primary school.

Nicky is a Senior Teacher at Silhouette and her knowledge and experience is an asset to the studio.

Kellie Wilson (Senior Teacher)

Kellie trained for 10 years at Silhouette before accepting a position to study a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance Performance) at QUT. During Kellie’s senior years at Silhouette, she consistently placed in the Australian Teachers of Dancing Scholarships. Kellie was an exemplary student whose focus and work ethic made her an instant role model for younger students. Kellie is regularly invited to teach ATOD syllabi at teacher workshops both in Australia and overseas (Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore)

Although, Kellie is a talented Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop dancer, Kellie’s passion is Contemporary and Classical Ballet.

Emily Wendt (Teacher)

Emily has danced since age 3 years and has been with Silhouette from the beginning. Emily has trained in Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Cheerleading and Contemporary consistently achieving outstanding results for examinations. Emily has completed her Cert III Community Recreation specializing in Dance teaching, Cert IV Dance Teaching & Management, and holds an Associate Teachers Certificate with the ATOD. Emily currently holds USASF/IASF Level 1 in Tumbling and Cheerleading. Emily has become a dedicated teacher and we look forward to fostering her love of dance teaching.
