About SDC
Silhouette Dance Company endeavours to create a friendly learning environment where students are encouraged to perform to the best of their ability. Our qualified staff combines both today’s modern choreography with experience and knowledge to ensure students are given the best opportunity to achieve the highest standard.
Students are given the opportunity to participate in annual competitions, eisteddfods and concerts.
Silhouette Dance Company can cater to your needs whether you are looking for fun & fitness with a class once a week or you are seeking to undertake dance tuition, involving examinations and performance work.
Intensive Team
These classes are for those students who are part of the Silhouette Dance Performance team.
To be eligible to attend these classes students and their Parents must show dedication to general class attendance, grooming, and etiquette/ protocol and have suitable dance/performance skills. Commitment, enthusiasm, perseverance…… This class is by invitation only and requires students to perform in up to four Eisteddfod competitions a year along with local events such as fetes, fundraisers, promotional and charity events.
SDC Performance Teams have travelled overseas to perform and compete. Past overseas opportunities have been 2000 part of ATOD performance Hong Kong, 2004 Christchurch NZ, 2006 ATOD performance in Hong Kong, 2008 Disneyland, Anaheim CA, 2013 Dance & Cheer Comp Hawaii, 2015 Disneyworld Orlando Florida, 2020 and 2025 Disneyland and Universal Studios California.
Examinations
Examinations are held on an annual basis for all levels of Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Contemporary. Silhouette Dance Company offer the ATOD systems of training (syllabi).
